The Oxford dictionary and Google define wellness as “an actively pursued goal, the state of being in good health”


Wellness is made up of 7 dimensions (Physical, Emotional, Intellectual, Social, Spiritual, Environmental and Occupational). This means the whole person and every way it can be impacted positively or negatively that help or affects the other systems.

  •  We cannot heal if we are not nourishing our bodies with the proper fuel

  • We cannot exercise if we are too tired, dehydrated or lack energy

  • We cannot conduct or business or get through our day, if we are constantly unhappy

  • We cannot respond with grace and thoughtfulness, if we are angry and frustrated or scared

  • We cannot eat if we are not hungry. or if we are despondent. And sometimes we eat more of the wrong foods if we are lonely

  • We cannot think clearly if there are other factors crashing into our thoughts

  • We cannot learn if we cannot concentrate or remember correctly

  • We cannot help others, if we cannot help ourselves.
